Strokes are the fourth single leading cause of death in the UK, as well as a leading cause of disability. Being aware of the causes and symptoms will help you act fast in a situation where you suspect someone is having a stroke. You can provide them with the best chance of receiving the treatment they need. This will also minimise the long term impact of the condition.
This Stroke Awareness course covers the different types of strokes and what causes them. You will learn about the symptoms you should be aware of when making a diagnosis. It will teach you what treatment to perform to assist recovery. The course also covers how to deal with post stroke problems and how to care for someone who has had a stroke.
